Have you noticed a bad smell from your pet's mouth recently?

Dental disease is one of the most common conditions we see in small animals.

Dental disease is a painful condition for your pet, but because our pets do not have the same ability to communicate their discomfort, these problems can sometimes go unnoticed. Additionally, an unhealthy mouth can lead to other problems such as bad breath, tooth loss and has also been linked to heart disease.

At All Paws Veterinary Hospital we are dedicated to providing your pet a top quality dental service.

Just as with humans, prevention is the best cure when it comes to dental disease and we will advise you on the best way to keep your pet's mouth healthy.

All dental treatments at All Paws Veterinary Hospital will include a Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) where we perform a routine descale and polish along with dental x-ray  **.  As teeth are like icebergs with most of their structure being present below the gumline, this allows us to examine the roots of the teeth and surrounding bone and formulate a treatment plan if any disease is present in a tooth/teeth.

We offer oral surgery if your pet needs more significant dental work, such as extractions, and we have invested in high end equipment designed to ensure your pet receives only the best dental care at All Paws Veterinary Hospital.

**All Dental Procedures must be carried out under general anaesthesia for the safety and welfare of your pet.
